Hallo zusammen,

wie wir alle wissen verfügt der UCR auch über eine Multiperioden-Sparte.
Ich trage mich nun seit Längerem mit dem Gedanken diese Sparte mit der Zeit des Ersten Weltkrieges anzureichern.
Es ist noch nichts beschlossen oder beantragt, bisher bewegt sich dass ganze Projekt noch im Planungsstadium.
Vermieden werden soll eine Schau von "schönen" Paradeuniformen in bierträchtigen Umzügen...Ziel sollte hier schon eine Darstellungsart, ein Re-enactment sein, wie wir es im ACW kennen.
Interessant wäre neben der militärischen Darstellung auch der zivile Bereich.

Bevor die ganze Sache allerdings konkret umgesetzt werden kann, wäre es für mich natürlich sehr interessant zu erfahren, wie groß das Interesse an dieser Epoche ist.
Besteht neben der deutschen Armee auch ein Interesse an einer Darstellung der Alliierten (Franzosen, Briten, Amerikaner...) ?

Wer hat Interesse hier mit zu machen ?

Hallo Leute,

Geplanter Termin: 2 WE im Juli 2010
Kosten: 10,- Euro pro Person bar vor Ort.
Dafür gibt es den Platz und Sanitäranlagen.
Darstellung: ALLE Kriegsjahre!
Der Platz ist groß genug (etwas über 3 Quadratkilometer).
Wir können Früh, Mitte und Ende des Krieges räumlich trennen,
so das die entsprechenden Einheiten miteinander spielen können.

Für die Zukunft können wir uns überlegen, ob es machbar ist, jeweils
immer nur ein Kriegsjahr darstellen zu wollen. Setzt voraus, das sich
die Leute mehrere Uniformen zulegen!

Pyrotechnik können wir bei entsprechender Teilnehmerzahl machen,
da das etwas kostet.

Gasangriffen werden nur mit Nebelkerzen dargestellt - kein Bromazeton
oder andere reizende Stoffe!

Für eine Abschätzung bitte ich um Rückmeldung VORAUSSICHTLICHER
Teilnehmer, welche Partei und welches Kriegsjahr der Uniformierung.
Daraus wollen wir ein Gesamtkonzept erarbeiten und eine detaillierte
Einladung/Darstellung folgen lassen.

Eine Weiterleitung der Info an mögliche Interessenten wird ausdrücklich gewünscht!

Hallo Volks,

The UCR e.V. plans a WW1 Re-enactment.

(the UCR e.V. is a well known and experienced organiser of Re-enactments in Germany - mainly ACW-period).

In 2010 the UCR will organise for the first time a WW1 Re-enactment,
if there are enough participants (ca. 40-50 Re-enactors minimum).

The date is scheduled for the second weekend in July 2010.

The location will be the 'Truppenuebungsplatz' Munster (Military Training Area
near the towns Munster and Bergen / Lueneburger Heide) in Northern Germany.

There is sufficient room for all scenarios (early, middle and late war).

It will be a "non-public" event, means: Re-enactors only! No spectators, press or photographers are allowed!

Therefore every participants has to pay an entrence fee of 10 Euros - payable cash after arrival on the location.

Yes I remember it well.
Thank you for suporting ouer event!

There is a big parkingplace were you can leef your car. Nearby we have
an camp area for German and Alis troops. In the middel is the neutral
Red Kross Station with the cantina. We have small battlefild were we
build trenches an pits. There is a lot of woods for assault troops.

Come leef your car at the parkingplace, race your tent in the camp, go
out in the battle, take a break at the Red Kross Station and if you
enjoy it take care in the trenches and wait for enemy minds.
Do wath you want!

The militäry training area is about 4 square kilometers large(!!).
That is realy big enough to seperate early, middel and late ware period.

If you come only for living history stay in the camp.

If you interested to see the area come to the ACW-reenactment 13. - 16.5.2010.

For live fireing weapons you need a European Weapon License. Weapons for
blankfiring are generaly alowed in Germany. But consider the mechanicle
differences for disablement. You are absolutly save in any case if you have
a European Weapon License too! Very Important - Transportation unloded only
in a looked container separat from the munition!!!!!!!

If you have further questions, post these in ouer forumthread in English or
German. Not in French if you expect an answer. You will get your answers (and
other too).

I've been following and receiving the mails for this event the past
months.
I've been requested by our group president to communicate.
I'm also a CW re-enactor so I know who you are.
Some people over here are interested, but want to know what to expect.
Will this be an event in tents, or in trenches with two separate camps
etc..
What about the weapons? Most of the great war weapons in Belgium are
free to
Have, even in working and shooting condition. So people will need some
document in order to travel into germany
(those on a European weapons leave are no problem I hope)
We have no experience on this aspect of great war re-enacting, as we
have always more living history events than actual battle re-enactments.

I assume there will be no public either.

I hope you can give me some details, thanks !
